Guest guest
Dear Bhadra Govinda Prabhu, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Shrila Prabhupada and Shri Shri Gaura-Nitai! > I prefer to follow Srila Prabhupada's prescription and chant Sri Pancha > Tattva Mantra before chanting each of my round. I hope HH Sadhu Swami is > not recommending to change this system and instead chant 100 names of > Gaura, before chanting Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. > > However we are not against chanting 100 names of Gaura daily and printing > and distributing these names. The Panca-tattva mantra and the Hare Krishna maha-mantra are the mantras with which this book ends. 100 Names of Gaura are not meant to replace the Panca-tattva mantra which we chant before beginning each round. The Panca-tattva mantra is an integral part of our daily sadhana as instructed by Srila Prabhupada and there is no question of replacing it with something else. The 100 Names of Gaura and meant to supplement the chanting of the Panca-tattva mantra before beginning the chanting of the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Even if that is not possible, the 100 Names of Gaura are meant to be chanted whenever possible to make our chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra offenseless and give us love of Godhead very quickly. Even though we have the Panca-tattva mantra, still the 100 Names of Lord Gaura elaborate all His pastimes and can be sung in 5 minutes. This will surely help the fallen, conditioned, offensive & sinful souls of Kali-yuga and impart them the qualification to chant the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. I hope that satisfies you. Thank you for your comments. Looking forward to more feedback from the assembled Vaisnavas. Your aspiring servant, BR Sadhu Swami
