Guest guest
Hearing from sadhus is sufficient A brahmacari took some books from the Gaudiya Math bookstore, for his own personal reading, without informing the man who was in charge. When Sarasvati Thakura found out he took this unauthorized action seriously and gave instructions that brahmacaris should not keep books, saying, "By studying so many books you may become a pandit but you may not become a devotee. Hearing is essential. If you hear from sadhus that is sufficient." >From HH Bhakti Vikasa Swami's notes on SBSST.
