Guest guest
When the feast is ready, Krishna begins his disobedience. The garlanded Lord mixes all the food together and then says to His mother, "Give me each preparation seperately!" and clasps His hands together and throws Himself on the ground. "What a disobedient child yolu are! You mischievous boy. Take something else!" Krishna says", "I don't want it." What am I to do? Yashoda thinks. I must not beat Him; He won't be pacified if I try to reason with Him. What am I to do? "You have mixed them together; now seperate them! Why do You torment me?" she says to Hari. So she makes Him undo His work and puts an end to the confusion. He was pacified and sat up. He covered the dish with His cloth and restored it all as it was before, sperating each kind of food. His mother was amazed and when she grasped His intention in her mind she says, "There is no-one like You!" She rejoiced with overflowing happiness, folded Him in her arms and embraced Him. A stream of joy was let loose at that feast. Tukaram says, 'Ó leave some remnant for me!' "The Poems of Tukarama." Abhanga #1215, page 393. Translated by J. Nelson Fraser and K.B Marathe. Published 1909.
