Is Ceylon the Lanka mentioned in Ramayana?

I thought the same, that Lord Rama appeared near the end of the last Treta

yuga (which ended 869,000 years ago). Since He ruled for 36,000 years it was

obviously not the very end of the yuga so minimum of 900,000 years ago.

Lord Varaha has at least two different appearances as Rakta (red) Varaha and

Sveta (white) Varaha and sometimes the pastimes of one are confused with the

other.

That makes sense. It seems that there were many different appearances of

Lord Rama.
