Guest guest
CC Adi 17.123: TRANSLATION When the sa‰k…rtana movement thus started, no one in Navadv…pa could hear any sound other than the words “Hari! Hari!” and the beating of the mda‰ga and clashing of hand bells. PURPORT The International Society for Krishna Consciousness now has its world center in Navadv…pa, M€y€pur. The managers of this center should see that twenty-four hours a day there is chanting of the holy names of the Hare KŠa mah€-mantra, with the addition of haraye namaƒ, kŠa y€dav€ya namaƒ, for this song was a favorite of ®r… Caitanya Mah€prabhu’s. But all such sa‰k…rtana must be preceded by the chanting of the holy names of the five tattvas—r…-kŠa-caitanya prabhu-nity€nanda r…-advaita gad€dhara r…v€s€di-gaura-bhakta-vnda. We are already accustomed to chant these two mantras—r…-kŠa-caitanya prabhu-nity€nanda r…-advaita gad€dhara r…v€s€di-gaura-bhakta-vnda and Hare KŠa, Hare KŠa, KŠa KŠa, Hare Hare/ Hare R€ma, Hare R€ma, R€ma R€ma, Hare Hare. Now, after these, the other two lines—namely haraye namaƒ, kŠa y€dav€ya namaƒ/ gop€la govinda r€ma r…-madhus™dana—should be added, especially in M€y€pur. Chanting of these six lines should go on so perfectly well that no one there hears any vibration other than the chanting of the holy names of the Lord. That will make the center spiritually all-perfect.
