Please convey our message to our Beloved Syamasundara that we, the Gopis of Braja, who are thirsty for the nectar of His love, are waiting very desperately for Him exactly in the same way as the chataka-bird wait for the dark rain-laden clouds of Swati constellation with their eyes fixed on the sky. But still, if He prefers to stay in Mathura, and it is painful for Him to return to us, then, we are saying from the bottom of our hearts that He should never come back to us. We always want to see Him happy, for His happiness is our happiness." The gopis became silent after uttering these heart-rending words and Uddhava began to shed tears of reference, seeing the selfless love of the gopis.
