Forgive me for interjecting, but is this the right way to talk about such things? Branding other people's notions sheer foolishness, and talking about slamming them? Sure, these people are only interested with material things - like seeing how far they can fling rockets at satellites - but for me it still beggars belief how devotees seemingly like to deride the unfortunate materialistic tendencies of others. And as for the moon thing, is it really important? Devotees seem very hung up on it, but really it is not about Krsna, it is rather Sukadeva giving an account of the cosmology of the universe as perceived at the time. I do not doubt the conclusions of the acaryas, but at the same time I do not thing it best to become overly concerned about whether people got to the moon or not. Not about Krsna, not important! Please forgive me any offences I have caused, but I've been wanting to say this. Ys., Rama Kesava das

His conviction was that they did not go to the moon. Where they went he didn't say. As your quote states: "they might have gone to Rahu." He also said that their real business was in Arizona. At another time he once said that even if they landed there, they could not enter into the life that is there. But the vast majority of his comments were that they never went to the moon.
