Guest guest
Dear members of (Krsna) Katha, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. By the request/poll/desire of many of you and by the encouragement and sanction of my spiritual authorities I have been assigned to be the organizer of this most esteemed conference on COM. Being an organizer and having had observed a strange trend appearing in this conference in the recent past, I have decided to also start moderating this conference. COM's SysOp H.G. Raktambara prabhu's guideline in "moderate.txt" reads: > (1) What does it mean, to moderate a conference? > > It means that each new text goes to you (as a letter) instead of to the > conference, and then you decide whether you want to send it to the > conference or not. If not, you might either send the text to another > conference where it fits better, or otherwise simply discard it. For (Krsna) Katha conference I have decided to fine-tune this process thus: 1. Snip off objectionable texts from the submission. 2. Now post the remaining texts to the conference. Since COM has no facility for moderators to edit submitted texts, these edited postings will now bear my name as the sender. But right inside the posting you will find the original mail-header. I will add in the email address of the original sender to facilitate future communications. In such cases a copy of the original unsniped submissions will be maintained by me and will be made available to those who specifically ask for it. I will not be separately informing the original sender of the editing done, since he/she himself/herself will be finding this edited version in his/her "(Krsna) Katha" mail-box and will thus become aware of the editing performed. Since I am a very busy man, kindly expect about 8-12 weeks for response if you wish to know why YOUR text has been edited. :-) Kindly send your feedback about this process or any other suggestions to improve the quality of this conference. I beg to remain your humble servant in service of ISKCON and it's well wishers to be able to finally please Srila Prabhupada. Your fallen servant, Avadhut das
