Today is the transcendental disappearence day of Jagannatha das Babaji.

He was a very old man,when he was carried in a basket to the Yoga pitha,

that Bhaktivinoda Thakura was convinced was the actual birthplace of

Mahaprabhu.Immidiatly upon arriving at this holy place,Jagannatha das

Babaji jumped out of the basket(though he was invalid,and 11o years old)he

danced in great ecstatic love having come to Lord CAitanyas birth place.I was

told that Jagannatha das Babaji said that in Vrindavana even Krsna is punished

sometimes for mischief,but in Navadvipa dham, the Lord as Nimai gets away with

so much mischief,therefore who will not take shelter of audarya dhama,the

mercifull abode of Lord Gauranga.

On this day vaisnavas sing the famous song of Narotama das Thakura,

ye anilo prema dhana korona pracura heno prabhu kotha gela acarya thakura.

And also offer the pranama mantra for Jagannatha das babaji.

Gauravirbhava bhumes tvam nirdesta saj jana priyah ,vaisnava sarvabhaumah sri

Jagannathaya te namah

Jagannatha das Babaji Maharaja,who is honored by the whole Vaisnava community

and who confirmed the appearence place of Sri Krsna Caitanya

Today is also the disappearence day of Rasikananda Thakura

He was born in Gopi Vallabhapur at this place many personal items of

Rasikananda Prabhu can be still seen,the BTG has a recent articel about

Rasikananda Thakura.Those items include three of his bamboo flutes,handwritten

manuscripts,his Srimad Bhagavatam etc.He became a disciple of Shymananda

Prabhu,who gave him the service of his deity,Govinda.

He was once attacked by a mad elephants,(they where send by an envious muslim

ruler),he took some water and threw it at the elephants,while

he chanted loudly:Guru!!Gauranga,GAuranga!Krsna,Krsna.The elephants stopped

charging and raised their trunks chanting the maha mantra.

When he left this world he held the Lotus feet of Ksira Cora Gopinath,and

merged into the deity.The followers where all having a big kirtana,but when

they realized what happened they all stopped the kirtana,and all gave up their

bodies in seperation.
