Guest guest
>>Kindly send your feedback about this process or any other suggestions to improve the quality of this conference.>> I would like to formally request that you *not* edit any of my texts. If you disapprove of them, I would prefer that you simply refrain from posting them. Editing a text that someone else has carefully written can alter the entire meaning of what they were trying to say. Regular editors (of books, journals etc) do this only after carefully consulting with the author to make sure that the original meaning was preserved. Since you're such a busy man, you are not likely to have the time to do this. WHy don't you instead simply send a letter to the party whose text you don't like and tell them to re-edit their submission. You could have a form letter including the guidelines for submissions to save you time (that should be even faster than editing) that you send out to those who have written unacceptable submissions. Many of us here moderate busy conferences and still find the time to be personal and not butcher other people's submissions. If you don't have the time to request a re-submission, maybe you should not be conference moderator. Ys, Madhusudani dasi
