However I am sure there may be devotees that still have some doubts regarding this issue. Srila Prabhupada clearly explained in the letter to Madhuvisa,that the soul is with Krsna prior to falling into the material world. Jaya and Vijaya case is a lila,as Krsna wanted to use them as demons to fight with. But the soul falls due to misuse of independence.And the BTG printed a nice article by Srila Prabhupada on this issue in 1996,the January edition. Besides this also there is a purport to SB 11.2.39 where Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Thakura also explains a similar situation. Also Bhaktivinoda Thakuras Jaiva dharma clearly states that due to envy the jiva falls into the material world,the quotes are many.
