Sannyas in Kali Yuga

And what if "sannyasi" IS a woman ? I once met a yogini who was a

sannyasi ??? It seems very wrong to me, but I know little about the

subject.

 

Perhaps it would be good to know more about sannyasi orders established

by Shankaracarya, like Tirtha, Giri, etc . Can someone explain are these

orders bona fide, if so - in which branch do we fit. Also the

lady-sannyasi matter - can we find out who introduced this nonsense and

why ?
