Not all vanilla ice creams. Around here it's just the "French vanilla" that has eggs. Ys, MRdd
Guest guest
I don't know whether it's Ekadashi-compatible or not but note that some ice-cream especially in Australia, made by Streets for example, has gelatine. Also be on the lookout for food codes like 471, 322. Know what they mean. ys SS
Guest guest
The best vanilla ice cream (based on the opinion of numerous Vaishnavas in Central Pennsylvania)is the one made from the Higher Taste recipe. It tastes much better than Breyers, is Ekadasi safe, can be made without an ice cream machine and everyone is happy! Haribol!

I was avoiding the ice-cream on Ekadasi because of the black little specs I saw in them (vanilla beans). What about mustard seeds? Are they eatable on Ekadasi? ys, Virender http://www.krishnasoft.com
