One reason is for loka-siksa "teaching for the common mass." They are teaching the lesson of devotional service. Like Sukadeva Goswami delivering Pariksit Maharaja. According the the SB commentators, Pariksit Maharaja is already Visnu-rata (protected by Lord Visnu) and so he is already liberated.
