Excuse me but before you go on com and say that all vanilla ice cream has

eggs you better do more research. You are quite simply wrong onthis issue.

Maybe french vanilla has egg depending on the maker. Breyers for instance

the one asked about does not have egg just read the label. It is very

thoughtless to jump on com and state something as fact without proper info or

research behind ones statements. Many of the people asking questions are

looking for sincere answers.

As far as eating it well, Breyer has vanilla bean in it. but I seem to

understand that vanilla bean is a bean in name only but really the internal

part of a flower. anyone know about that?

Many devotees won't eat storemade ice cream at all. so it will depend on who

you ask.

is carob OK ?

Since it is also a tree - lat. Ceratonia siliqua.

Carob Bean is also the seed pod of a tree. Not a legume. If you all want to

get technical, the bananna tree is in the grass family, which also includes

grains, therefore you shouldn't eat bananas on ekadasi if you want to be a

fanatic.
