Guest guest
Dear Pranatha, > re the addressing of > the great devotee of Lord Nrsimhadeva as "bhakta Prahlada" which is > sometimes done when finishing the Nrsimhadeva prayers... This is something that was not done in the early days of the movement. Anything that was not done in the early days meant to us old devotees that, if it started later, it was an "introduction"... an ^unauthirized^ introduction. The Nrsimha prayers would stop with the end of the prayer... unless there was more chanting of Hare Krishna. Not only was there no "Bhakta Prahlad", but also no "Nara hari", etc. etc. Years ago an article was published in Vaisnava Journal in which such things were discussed and specific reference to incidences where Prabhupada gave instruction about this and other items of kirtan. I think it was subsequently published in other places too and maybe presented to the GBC. It is in the file area of Katha conference (KIRTAN.DOC). I have it and if you like I can send it to you.
