Dear Kavicandra Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. This thread was terminated, but since I would appreciate being corrected by you maharaja, I will explain my reasoning for asking the question. I was taught in my training in Krsna consciousness from BG 9.27 and other texts: "Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform-- do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me." So I was told that I should dovetail my attachments to computers, food, travel, etc. in the service of Krsna instead of treating them as maya and giving them up. I initially wanted to give them up but I was told: "By development of Krsna consciousness one can know that everything has its use in the service of the Lord. Those who are without knowledge of Krsna consciousness artificially try to avoid material objects, and as a result, although they desire liberation from material bondage, they do not attain to the perfect stage of renunciation." (BG 2.63) So in this attempt, I asked the question. Since it relates to offering things to Krsna, I assumed it to be related to Krsna-katha. But I would be glad to hear what you think about this and why it would not be related to Krsna-katha. your servant, Virender http://www.krishnasoft.com
