Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Thank you for the interesting and enlightening discussion. If I am not

mistaken, I saw a reference to Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura's alleged

rejection of (or, conveniently, distancing himself from) Bipin Bihari

Goswami in one ISKCON official publication, which I do not have at hand

right now. It seems to be ISKCON Journal #1 on rtviks, published back in

1990. Can some knowledgeable Vaisnava clarify this doubtful evidence?

Does anybody have the original Bengali for the above statement: "It is also

said that even if the disciple takes instructions from a more advanced

siksha guru then he should get it confirmed from his diksha guru whether he

can implement them or not." (text 48 of Krsna-bhajanamrta)

I had a conversation over this sloka with some ex-ISKCON followers of the

Gaudiya-math, and they opined the translation was wrong. They claimed that

the proper translation should read that after receiving such instructions

from an advanced siksa guru the enlivened disciple should come to his not so

advanced diksa guru and share the nectar with him. Not having the original,

it was difficult to ascertain the truth. Can you please help?

Your servant,

Madana-mohana das
