Haribol, All the Vaishnava Vedanta commentators in VS 3.4.52, 4.1.13-16 including Baladeva Vidyabhusana say that "Vidya" burns up karma. In fact, the issue is raised whether "Vidya" is powerful enough to burn up prarabdha karma, which Sri Baladeva answers in the affirmative. How do we reconcile Srila Prabhupada's words with this? Is "Vidya" the *mechanism* by which karma gets transferred from disciple to the guru? ys Gerald Surya
