Guest guest
> On Prabhupada's memories videos you can hear one story from Revatinandana > Prabhu. The gist is that once one devotee told him that Prabhupada said in > a conversation that even after going back to Godhead still there is a > chance of falling down again. On the first occasion Revatinandana Swami > (at that time, I believe) asked Prabhupada how it is possible if in BG > Krsna says that once going back when never comes again to this material > world. Prabhupada said something to the effect that this is a general > statement, not an absolute one. Generally it does not happen, but > possibility is there. He said that this is the meaning of being a > tatastha-sakti, the marginal energy. Hare Krishna! I have a very hard time accepting this as the evidence of our fall down from Radha Krsna lila because it would lead to many other problems. Have Srila Prabhupada ever said that his clear statement that a pure devotee cannot forget Krsna even for a moment is also not absolute? We could understand that "generally it does not happen, but possibility is there" means that there can only be a very few exceptions, like Jaya and Vijaya, which are due to a specific lila of the Lord. In other words, it cannot be applied to the countless jivas in the material world. If "yad gatva na nivartante" is not true then what is the value of the BG at all? Therefore I prefer to stick to what is written in Srila Prabhupada's books. ys
