Sure, cow protection is necessary for spiritual progress of the society. My

point, however, was that such activity is not the same bhakti as

svarupa-siddha-bhakti (sravanam, kirtanam, smaranam, etc.). If one reduces

his svarupa-siddha-bhakti in order to fully engage oneself in

aropa-siddha-bhakti (this phenomena we have seen quite often), it won't help

him develop bhava and come to Krishna but rather will make him fall down

eventually. So there must be proper balance.

Please present some objective evidence to support this claim. In the

particular

regard of cow protection.
