During the question period of the Bhag. class Hridayananda Maharaja was asked about inviting Narajan Maharaja, who during the Prabhupada festival was giving darshans at a hotel not too far from the LA temple, to speak at the ISKCON temple. Incidentally, the verse that morning, which I cannot recall at the moment, spoke about a *structured society* (perhaps the society Yuddhisthira Maharaja was ruling over). In any event, the point of that verse was that *the society was structured* in some way -- it had its authority figures, its people were organized according to some principle, etc. In other words, it was not like a random hippie commune or something of that sort. In his answer to that question, then, Hridayananda Maharaja spoke first about *inter-faith dialogue*: becoming acquainted with each other's theology, philosophy, religious practices, etc. -- in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Then he said -- I am paraphrasing here; these are not verbatim quotes -- that by now it has become obvious that Narayan Maharaja's activities around and about ISKCON are causing pain within ISKCON. It aches! So if that is the case, it is only natural to try to find out why it aches. Thereafter Hridayananda Maharaja elaborated on his house imagery. How would it affect interpersonal relationships if one person decided to come into someone else'e house and, ignoring the owner or father, just went straight to the kitchen, reached out for the refrigerator, helped himself at will, and then, to top it all off, enticed and walked away with the children? Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce that class.
