Guest guest
> What the opinion of the Gaudiya Vaisnavas about the Garga Samhita/ > I don't find even one reference to it in the entire Vedabase. It is not mentioned in the Gaudiya-Vaisnava-Abhidhana. MMW mentions that it is the name of a work. I haven't seen any other reference to it in older literature. There are, however, a couple of interesting links on the net: The web-site below is run by the Sri Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti. They do mention the Garga-samhita a couple of times. http://www.bhagavad-gita.org/index.html BHAGAVAD-GITA TRUST has been established by Jagannatha Das a disciple of Srila Bhaktivedanta Vamana and Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana descending from Madhvacarya through Sri Krishna Caitanya Mahaprabhu and is under the auspices of the Sri Gaudiya Vedanta Samiti Registered in Navadwip, Bengal, India Caitanya Sarawat Math mentiones Garga-samhita as follows: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/g_darshan/t1-math.htm "Also we are trying to print Sri Garga-samhita. Sripad Sagar Maharaj is currently preparing this book." Garga-samhita as a yet unpublished work of the 1st century AD is mentioned in the web page below: http://www.geocities.com/BourbonStreet/Delta/5349/antiquityastrology.html "But the most important of the works of this Indian tradition and the oldest extant one in Sanskrit is the earliest version of the as yet unpublished Gargasamhita ("Compositions of Garga") of about the 1st century AD."
