Guest guest
Hare Krishna. Might I suggest something which I have seen to be very effective. This wd apply more to ppl who are new to worshipping Lord Krishna as opposed to those who are new devotees living in a temple situation. For outsiders, we have seen that the essay 'Introduction To Bhagavad Gita As It Is' (pg 1 - pg 34 of Gita As It Is) analyzes the topics of Gita into five (atma, paramatma, prakrti, kala and karma). I have found that teaching this simple essay to ppl entirely new to Gita puts them in very good standing for steady spiritual advancement. (How we have taught it is to number the paragraphs from 1 - 69, and then make notes taking out the points and subpoints from each paragraph. Then using these notes, we wd conduct seminars at the speed of approx. 10 paragraphs per hour. So often, in 8 lessons of 2 x 1 hr each we easily cover the entire Gita, with comfortable room for discussion etc. Results have been very encouraging. Hope this is useful info for your preparation of the materials for new devotees.
