Varsana to Nandagaon

 

At the appearance day of Govardhana H.H. Lokanath Swami gave a lecture in

the morning. In the afternoon H.H. Kavicandara Maharaja and H.H. Radha

Govinda Maharaja gave a lecture. The Matajis made a beautiful deity from cow

dung of Giriraja; a Govardhana hill was made with halvah; abhishekah was

performed; and a wonderful feast was served to the devotees. At the end of

the feast Parasurama Prabhu organized a food for life prasada distribution

for the Vrajavasis

 

We went to the Prema Sarovara Kund. H.H. Lokanath Maharaja said: "We are not

qualified to talk about these confidential pastimes. Only persons like Krsna

Das Kaviraja who wrote Caitanya Caritamrita and Govinda Lilamrita, can

understand these dealings. The pastimes of these dealings had been described

in the Govinda Lilamrita.

 

This place between Varsana and Nandagram is very confidential, with many

pastimes. We have to be careful, we should be aware of how we walk at such

places? We should not be walking, but crawling. Just keep in mind that this

is transcendentally surcharged between Varsana and Nandagram."

 

Here is the story of Prema Sarovara Kund

 

In the meeting between Radha and Krsna there are always obstacles. After

many hindrances finally they meet together. Once when they were sitting

together, a bee was disturbing Radharani by flying around Her. Krsna

requested Madhumangal to chase away the bee. After finishing the task

Madhumangal came back proclaiming that Madhu was gone. Madhu is a name for

both a bee and Krsna.

 

Radharani began to cry thinking that Krsna had gone. She was shedding tears

and felt weaken. Krsna was surprised seeing Radharani in that state of mind.

He was not only surprised but He couldn't do anything to help Her. He was

also shedding tears. Now both of them were shedding tears. Radha's tears

mixed with that of Krsna, the tears of love, as Radha was feeling intense

separation from Krsna. Krsna was thinking: "look at the love that Radharani

has for Me". Their tears mixed together and became the kund known as Prema

Sarovara.

 

The goal of our life is to achieve some Radha-Krsna prema. This lake is the

remaining place of this love. Let us take some drop of water from this lake

and put it on our head and in our heart, so that we can get rid of this lust

in our heart. This lust is keeping Radha-Krsna's lotus feet away from us, as

result of that we are suffering in this material existence. Let us get rid

of this lust, anger and greed. Let us get some drop of love here and

progress further in our chanting, in following the four regulative

principles, in reading the sastras and in serving the vaisnavas, in order to

achieve one day that love of Godhead.
