Guest guest
> Sukla just means white which is His color. Of course, with Krsna > (yuga-avatara for Dvarapa) His name is also His color, but not with Lord > Caitanya. At least I never heard of Him being called Pita. But then again He > is called Gauranga (golden-limbed). Hmmm. Does this mean that it is safe to > say the name of the Treta-yuga-avatara is Rakta? Sri Caitanya is called Pitabja (yellow lotus) in Kavi Karnapura's Sri-Krsna-Caitanya-candrasya-sahasra-nama stotram, sloka 87. Satvata Tantra, Patala Five, Yuga-dharma-kathanam (Description of Religion for the Different Yugas): 30-31 In Treta-yuga everyone is inclined to chant mantras and perform yajnas. They are very humble, happy, and noble-hearted, and they live in great palaces. By performing bhagavad-yoga in this way they become quickly eligible for liberation. O best of the brahmanas, this is the supreme religion in the Treta-yuga. 32-33 In that age the people worship the red-complexioned form of Lord Yajna, the master of the universes, by performance of regular and occasional Vedic sacrifices performed with chanting eight names of the Lord. By following the three Vedas in this way they attain liberation. ys bh. Jan
