Shergarh to Cirghat

 

This morning we arrived at Ram Ghat, which is on the bank of the holy river

Yamuna. After crossing the yamuna by boat. The devotees took bath on the

Yamuna, and honored the prasad on the bank of the Yamuna.

 

Ram Ghat: One night Balaram became very blissful after drinking some Varuni

beverage. He then asked the Yamuna to come nearer. The Yamuna refused,

thinking He was intoxicated. Balaram then became very angry and began to

escape the earth with His plow to bring the river closer to him. The Yamuna

being afraid then came and surrendered to Balaram and admitted her fault.

 

After that we visited Biharvana. Bihar means wandering. Krsna use to come as

cowherd boy and play different kind of games with the cowherd boys.

 

One pastime took place not far from here: One day both Radha and Krsna

wanted to improve their superiority. Krsna dressed himself as a king. He

told the cowherd boys to tell to everyone that He is the king of this

forest, and if someone wanted to collect some flowers he has to pay Him

taxes.

 

Mean while Radharani has dressed as a queen, She proclaimed to the gopies: "

I am the queen of this forest, if someone refused to obey you, tie him and

bring him to Me."

 

The gopies were hundreds and thousands. They all surrounded the cowherd

boys. They were bitten and tied up, especially they caught Madhumangal that

they threw at the feet of Radharani.

 

Being a brahmana, it was a big embarrassment for a brahmana boy. When

Madhumangal came to Krsna, he was tied up and humiliated. Krsna asked him:

"Who did that?" Madhumangal said to Krsna: " Radharani is more powerful and

beautiful than you." When Krsna heard this He accepted the supremacy of

Radharani.

 

The idea is that Radha and Krsna wanted to meet together, and Madhumangal

was given lot of Laddus, because he arranged this meeting.
