Today the devotees were walking through the beautiful forest of Khandirvan.

The Adi Purana gives the following description: "The seventh forest is

famous on the earth as Khandirvan. O auspicious one, any person who goes

there will go to my abode."

 

Today we get darsan of Srila Rupa Goswami Bhajan Kutir, and a Kadamba tree

that he sat under, when he will compile books. We also went to Jawat the

village where Abhimanyu married Radharani.

 

Underneath this Kadamba tree Rupa Goswami use to do his writing. Sometimes

he was writing the union between Radha-Krsna and sometimes their separation.

While writing he was experiencing different mood. Not just repeating like a

parrot.

 

The tree also was going through different mood. Especially this tree was

very close to Rupa Goswami. When Rupa Goswami was writing in the mood of

separation, all the leaves of the tree would fall. They would become dry,

pale and morose.

 

After some times Rupa Goswami would write about the meeting between

Radha-Krsna. At that time the leaves would become green, fresh, and happy

and their life getting back. This is the influence of the association with

such exalted devotee.

 

Srila Prabhupada said that: "even a dog, a tree can take part of this Krsna

consciousness". We have to understand that the trees of Vrindavan are not

ordinary trees. They were sages in another birth. They want to stand in the

path where Krsna is coming. We have also to develop such desire to stand or

to stay in the places where Krsna is. Srila Prabhupada had made this

possible for us by opening so many temples all over the world.

 

After this we went to Jawat, the village where Abhimanyu, the husband of

Radharani, and his family lived. Before there was a big Banyan tree which

gave a shade. One time Radharani has being waiting for a long time. The

cause of krsna's dilate was that he was spending more time with the other

gopies. Radharani became more upset. She was thinking: "Oh, you are giving

more attention to the other gopies. To pacify Radharani Krsna has to decide

some Lilas. He practically touched her feet. Even that was not sufficient.

Krsna started decorating Her lotus feet. This particular color putting on

the feet of Radharani is called Jawat.
