Guest guest
Haribol All Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Here in America the quadrennial silliness of the US presidential campaign is in full swing, and as well an unprecedented boom is occurring in the economy. With this in mind, imagine my surprise to discover the transcendental insight of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarsavati Thakura when I read this paragraph from a lecture he gave in Calcutta in 1936: --- Now, whose bhajan are we to hold? Whom are we to worship? Usually we want to worship Mammon, with a view to satisfy our own personal greed; or sometimes we desire to secure the exalted position of presidentship of the American Republic. But we never think of the necessity of worshiping the lotus feet of Radha-Krsna moving merrily in the woodland of Vraja, without which there is no other way of securing the permanent good. ------ All glories to the grandfather of Iskcon!
