Please quote sastra for this one. We may have some attraction for Radha & Krsna but traces of the attraction for Maya also may linger in the heart till we achieve the bhava platform. Ofcourse attarction to Maya does'nt mean that we indulge in it. Your servant, Nayana-rañjana d€sa
Guest guest
Dear Nayana Ranjana Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON. > Bhadra Balaram Prabhu wrote: > > > If we do get > > attracted by any of such material beauties (of opposite sex and in > > kaliyuga also homosex!) then it means we are not attracted to Their > > pastimes. This is a statement of high understanding and deep realisation. This is simply perfect. > Please quote sastra for this one. Ofcourse attarction to Maya does'nt mean > that we indulge in it. Krishna Consciousness is not a science of quotations. It is a science of (self/God) realisation. Any way to quote shastra, I recommend re-reading of "Bhagavadgita As It Is " complete 3rd chapter with purports (especially those verses with the word *lust*). Based on your comments above I think you are confused with the words *attractions* and *inclination/propensity*. A devotee is full like an ocean. The attractions of Maya are always there, but the devotee does not have an inclination or propensity to those attractions. Bhadra Balaram Prabhu's statement is all glorious, as it helps any Sadhana devotee in one's own self analysis, which Srila Prabhupada recommends. Ofcourse, at Sadhana stage there are devotees at various levels on the path to perfection, and at this stage I agree with you that to the extant one is surrendered (surrendered is a better word than attracted) to Krishna to that extant one is protected from maya. Also there is this *Vipralamba Seva*. Surrender to Lord Krishna under the direction of a bonafide spiritual master is the only remedy for lust, and that is the sum and substance of Bg 3rd chapter, sorry the whole of Bhagavadgita, sorry the combined teachings of Srila Prabhupada and all the past, present and future Acaryas. Please pray for me, > Your servant, > Nayana-raJjana dAsa Your humble servant, Bhadra Govinda Das. P.S: I am going out of station for 3 weeks and I may not regularly access my mail, so I may not regularly participate in this discussion. Kindly excuse me.
