Kirtan is the life and soul program of ISKCON and for counteracting Kali for that matter. Speculation should not be allowed to creep in this vital activity of ours. Why do we have to copy degraded, pan chewing singers. They should be made to copy ISKCON standards. 'Little' deviations now would tantamount to 'big' utpata down the line, as our preaching survives the test of time for centuries and milleniums to come. This 'susvagatam' is a popular tune of saptaha professionals. They and their audience hardly care for siddhantic error they are committing, as correctly pointed out by Maharaja. It would not be unwelcome to hear more voices, standing out against such unwanted and uncalled for occurences. Imagine Srila Prabhupada being present on the spot and some body blurting out these popular songs!!! Almost certainly he would be 'furious'. Do we mean he is no more personally present to chastise us???? Have we forgotten his 'heavy dose' so early, his 'rascal nonsense, so sweet to hear phrases so early???? The New Search - Faster. This is the most amazing news I have ever heard. Whenever we ask someone to bring back Srila Prabhupada VCDs from India, they say they are not in stock. I thought it was because distribution had not yet started. I got one copy during my trip to the USA. I was hoping that now we would be able to get more copies from India. I hope Devaki Nandan Prabhu can make them available in Juhu for our devotees to buy during theior visits to India. We will find a ready market for them here in the Gulf.
