Guest guest
Nowadays it is quite common that devotees profess to chant extra rounds for others' benefit, for example to petition Krishna that their husband become a devotee. Although performing beneficial activities for others is central to Vedic culture (e.g. it is the prime reason for getting married), does this specific practice of chanting for others have a precedent in Vaisnava tradition?
