Guest guest
Dear Sukadeva Goswami Prabhu Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. > With all due respect prabhu you are wrong Srila Prabhupada personal told > H.H. Bhakti Caru Swami in turn told to H.H. Tamal Krishna Maharaj (and the > word spread around) that 50% of his work was incomplete as Varnashram > Dharma was not established. I don't want to spent unneccessary time on this issue. What we want is actual pramana of Srila Prabhupada's statement. Srila Prabhupada said many things personally to many devotees at different times and at different circumstances. However the actual intention of Srila Prabhupada on all matters relating to Krishna consciousness are there in his books, or communique to his leading devotees at the time. Many times out of deep humility, pure devotees often express their inability to execute certain functions relating to the spread of the glories of the Lord. Srila Prabhupada was fully in the line of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. When discussing with Ramananda Raya, Sri Mahaprabhu discarded varnasram as being external. It is not the requirement for the soul. Lord Caitanya is Bhagavan Krishna Himself. If He felt the neccessity of establishing varnashram dharma in Kali yuga, He would have done so. However the Lord gave something that was far greater than varnashrama dharma, which is Krishna-prema through nama-sankirtana. All the vices of Kali yuga will be eradicated through the spreading of nama sankirtana. And that was the mission of Srila Prabhupada. That mission was 100% successfully executed. > If Srila Prabhupada wanted he could have established Varnashram Dharma but > this is his pure divine mercy that he left it for us to establish it. > > If Varnashram Dharma was established ISKCON would not be struggling the > way it is doing today, devotees who joined (brahmins) would not be doing > Karmi jobs, to support them self. ISKCON is meant for Brahmins, Varnashram > Dharma is meant mainly for the Vaishyas & Sudras, but I hate to admit it > atlest at this given moment we are a little far from, this wonderful > dream. The problem of ISKCON is not due to non-establishment of Varnashrama. It is due to envy among the devotees. In a society full of envy, how can there be peace and harmony. We may philosophyse in whatever length, but to what extent are members of ISKCON are free from envy of one another. Let's say we want to establish varnashrama dharma which is based on the divisions of human society according to their qualifications, unless the individual classes are free from envy, where is the question of successful establishment of the Varnashrama dharma. In Kali yuga, the very nature of human beings is enviousness. This enviousness goes very deeply into the heart. Establishment of Varnashrama dharma is not something that is done by legislation, but by mutual acceptance of the members of society with very ideal leaders. Srila Prabhupada may have suggested Varnashrama, but that was only for many of his wayward disciples who have no real adhikara for bhakti. Real bhakti involves bhava. Unless there is bhava, there cannot be real bhakti. Therefore a pure devotee says, "just work for Krishna". Eventually after few lifetimes, bhakti adhikara will develop. your servant, Isvara dasa.
