Guest guest
[This message was in HTML format] His Divine Grace Sri Srimad A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada spoke these words for the pleasure of guru and Gauranga, and for the sake of all suffering souls in this Kali yuga on the 2nd of February, 1977 in Bhubanesvara, India. This lecture was given on Lord Nityananda Prabhu's appearance day at the last founded temple project of His Divine Grace. "Formerly there was no university. The university was in the cottage of Vyasadeva. Vyasadeva was writing Srimad Bhagavatam and all the puranas in a cottage. The university was there. Who can produce such literature as Vyasadeva has given? From any angle of vision; from literary point of view; from philisophical point of view, everything, so perfect. Every literature, Mahabharata, Puranas, and Vedanta, Veda-vyasa, he has given. So there was no need of university. It required clear brain. that was to be done by brahminical qualifications. Where is that education? This [modern] education, is technical education - how you can very nicely hammer. This will not solve the problem. So if we want a real solution to the problems, then our duty is, first of all take to the shelter of Nitai-Pada-Kamala. Then we will be happy and we will get moonshine, and all our fatigue will be subsided" It seems there is a close connection between accepting what Srila Veda-vyasa wrote for us; of course, "as it is"; and accepting the shelter of Lord Nityananda. Our understanding is that Prabhupada's translations and commentaries give an even stronger flow to that current of purely transcendental thought. Let me take shelter of Their divine instructions. Your servant, Bhakta Jason.
