I heard, starting in 1977 and recently confirmed by HH Jayadvaita Maharaja,

that Srila Prabhupada was very strict about the specific tune to be sung in

mangala-arati, not just the raag. So even variations of prabhaati may not be

OK if we strictly want to follow Srila Prabhupada.
