Guest guest
->Kalau sudra-sambhavah. In Kali-yuga, everyone is born with the quality of ->a sudra. That means you are a sudra until you qualify yourself. By ->training, one can develop to any platform; the qualities become manifest ->with purification. This is what I meant. Goal of training should be to get purified not to remain shudra. I'm sudra myself and I want to see some trainig happeing in Iskcon. When years ago my temple commander in Korshnas told me that he never in his life read any book and anything he learn was from other devotees, I felt something was wrong. It is easy enough to set technological education by inviting outsiders etc., but the whole process should support and incourage training of the upper varnas otherwise it is just opposite to VA development. It appears that when Prabhupada was talking not about technological education, but about HOW to be teacher, a brahmana. Learn everything to be a brahmana, not train everyone to be a shudra: Prabhupada: Yes. Brahmana means intelligent brain. Through an intelligent brain one can learn anything and teach anything." Prabhupada: What is difficulty? If I teach you how to cook, is there any difficulty? Satsvarupa: No. Prabhupada: And similarly like that. I am doing that. I am teaching how to mop the floor... Prabhupada: I must know everything because I am a teacher." I think it is wrong to use this quote to support technological education in ISKCON.
