Guest guest
>One solution could be that devotees don't live in the temples. They could >live outside and maintain themselves and go to the temple for worship. That was what Sri Visnupada wanted to with the Almvik community. But it crashed for various reasons. The foremost was that devotees was so trained up in "temple life" consciousness, that they could not concieve of something else. For me it appears that Sri Visnupada, and Krsna, wanted to make a smooth switchover. But when we devotees did not want to cooperate, instead we get this hard switchover. That hard switchover, as it appears now, means that everyone moves out of the temple, and lives at mercy of the outside society. The temples have to be closed down, due to lack of economical support. Later in the future, it might be possible that grihasthas start to move together, form communities, and start to support a temple together. But this time doing it right. It appears that this is already going on at some places in the world. But is it done right this time?
