Guest guest
I think if devotees are so concerned about the impending Y2K disaster, they should all just come to Vrindavana. If there should be any worldwide disaster, the best place to be is in Vrindavana, as given up one's body in Vrindavana assures one a better next life as a devotee of Krishna if one does not make it to the spiritual world. The material world is full danger a every step as Srila Prabhupada often quoted. From September of this year until the March of next year, devotees worldwide could make a commitment to spend that much time in Vrindavana. It will be really good for all devotees of Iskcon. Staying in Vrindavana during this crucial year is win-win situation. Ys, Isvara dasa.

The problem is: If all the devotees head for Vrndavana, who will stay and take advantage of the special opportunity to work with and preach to the non-devotees in their state of anxiety and distress? Who will administer the Food for Life programs in the cities that lose water or power? We don't really want to miss this nice opportunity that Krsna is giving us to inform them about Prabhupada's statements on the benefits of simple living and high thinking. Rather than desert them, why not think of ways to invite them to come and live on our rural communities and learn the bliss of chanting Hare Krsna with the devotees as they watch the sun rise over the fields and woods. Rather than fly away from this work, let's take the opportunity to turn every place into Vrndavana. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi

Guest guest
Dear Mataji, Dandavata. Jaya Srila Prabhupada. I am in complete agreement with your statement. My reason of invitation is rather than devotees be full of anxieties for the Y2K or any other disaster, they should just come to Vrindavana, otherwise we have perfect preaching opportunities as suggested by you. Your servant, Isvara Dasa.
