Guest guest
My suggestion is as follows: Sannyasas are brahmanas and should be scholars. For each sannyasa there should be a requirement to research a certain aspect of vaisnava society, and to write a scholarly work on it. The guru the sannyasa takes initiation from can, if he wants, give the subject of the study to be performed. The scholary work has to be scrutinized and accepted by other scholars in the field. All new sannyasas, on the waiting list, should be required to finalize such a research project, and write a book about it. This before they get their sannyasa. Sannyasas should be required to teach on the subject of their book, if so required. Old sannyasas should be required to come in with the result of their particular research within a certain amount of time. If this was to be implemented (in my dream world), we would get both qualified teachers, and advanced material to teach, in our Varnasrama Collage. your servant Prsnigarbha das
