Part 5 : Red Indian chief, shamans and Western new age scene prophets

 

 

10. South American writer had a brilliant idea. He asked several

hundred well known shamans, Red Indian chiefs and new age prophets to

write down their predictions for 1998, 1999 and the year 2000. He claims

that he interviewed 1997 ( !) persons this way. The result were published

in his best selling book "The seventh revelation ". In it we can read about

all the things we have issed so far :

 

The prophets foretold for March 1998 mountain collapses in the Alps,

drastically increased radioactivity and the eruption of the

Vesuv vulcano. For May huge earth quakes in California, the Russians

invade Eastern Europe and all financial markets totally collapsed.

In August 1998 a huge meteor would hit planet earth and cause gigantic

flood waves which drown half of germany. Vulcano eruptions in Germany,

and heavy earth quakes in West Germany. It all sounds nice but not one

of the prdictions came true.

 

The Columbian shaman Aristizabal again saw Fidel Castro dying

and Arafat dying of an assassination. He also predicted that Michael

Jackson would go through rough times "due to an airplane accident".

The German numerologist Andre heese again calculated that Michael

jackson "has no numerological tendency toward padophely" At least

one good news.

 

The famous shaman and "holistic doctor" Atuka He sees no fire balls

rushing by for 1999 but he sees instead that an "wind demon " will

rush through Europe and cause disaster. "There will be casualties

but also a new awakening".

The list of doomsday prediction by shamans could be endlessly expanded

but I stop here.

 

11. In 1962 there was a similar experiment with soothsayers in America.

Hundreds of the most famous ones gave their written predictions for the

year 1963. All the usual catastrophies and ddoomsday versions were again

announced. Also king Baudoins dismissal and a miracle medicine

against cancer were predicted.

Not one of all the famous "clairvoyants saw the two events which

later in 1963 really moved everyone :

The murder of JF Kennedy and the death of pope Johannes XXII.

 

Remarkable in all the mentioned predictions is the ease with which

the soothsaers spread fear : They have no problem announcing the

whole sale destruction of huge cities, half continents are drowned and

finished and 90 % of mankind is erased in almost every case.

 

Even Martin luther predicted the destruction of the whole world, first

for 1532, then for 1538 and finally or 1541. After that he became more

careful.

 

 

Theologist Harvey Cox, a friend of iskcon sees the reason for all these

doomsday phantasies in an expression of rejection of the world, which

results from to much social pressure.

 

According to the mysterious Maya calendar the destruction of the world

will happen on 22nd Dec 2012. I may come back to you after that
