I am appalled at the gross misunderstandings, absolute lack of knowledge of

and regard for Vedic culture and apparent lack of ability to understand even

rudimentary points, that are apparent even in materially intelligent devotees

of many years standing. Really, this Western culture is deeply contaminating.

Unfortunately, many adherents to the Eastern culture also miss the point. That

is most unfortunate, since they a meant to lead in these areas. For all

practical purposes, for centuries they choose to ignore their own heritage,

rather suscumbing to the rule of outsiders due to a lack of cultural

integrity. If India actually had a deep appreciation for her own cultural

heritage, her destiny amongst the world's nations would become that much more

apparent.

 

It appears that it wasn't until the West began to look East that India began

to wake up. It is very curious how Lord Caitanya has choosen to spread

sanatana-dharma.
