Guest guest
I just have to say I find it truly amazing that some men within ISKCON think that the women should act in a vedic way. Always shy, in the background, and even just stand on the roofs of the houses, separate from the real men, when happenings and festivals come. At the same time as there is this incredible character demand on women, some men does not feel the slightly ashamed of their own bad qualities. It appears that they don't see the connection, that to get the women to display these qualities, the men also have to excel in their male qualities. But isn't it Kali yuga, prabhu, therefore the men are not so pure as in previous yugas. That is allright, but then the purity demand cannot be put on women either. They are also Kali yuga women. In fact, as men are loosing their good qualities and male "power", the women are gaining in ability and power. Considering that, I see no reason why not women should work according to their abilities. At least while waiting for the *real* men to appear on the scene. After all, it is bad men who exploit women, not bad women.
