Maybe it is me who is to blame for reacting that a sannyasi uses such words? I was an active anti-rascist before I joined, and that may be one reason why I am especially sensitive to the word. Maybe after being in ISKCON so long I > don't even notice how heavy these terms can be. Your use of "fascist" > doesn't faze me (maybe cos I really am one). I use the words fascist because there were texts in the GHQ conferance which sounded fascistic. I know what that means, and I am fighting against it. One thing's for sure, purity alone > isn't a requisite for surviving in ISKCON. A thick skin is also needed. A > sense of humor helps also. I have a sense of humor, and my skin has some thickness. But I cannot stand misrepresentation of position, especially when it may encourage abuse of others. And that is what I feel that the GHQ texts and those who represent such views are doing. Encouraging abuse of women, trying to put them down. And I cannot see that after all the past women-abuses that have taken place in ISKCON. I loose my humor under such circumstances. And I fill fight against it. Ys Jkd
