I really want to object to this new absolute truth. At least in the outside society there are women in all kind of positions that require keeping secrets, and I have heard nothing about that women are worse than men in not keeping secrets. You might mean that devotee women cannot keep secrets, or that Vedic women cannot keep secrets, I can only guess. But if we look at behavior patterns of men and women, we see a difference. Men are often loners, do not ask others for advice, keeps their minds for themselves, pretty closed kind of persons. Compare with the macho male ideal of the lone cowboy hero riding away in the evening..... Women, on the other hand, are much more open, discusses everything with other women, takes advice, gives advice, and in general have a much more developed social behavioral pattern. >From this mini social comparision, it appears that women are actually more qualified to take on leadership positions. Because they will communicate more, ask for advice more, and in general listen to others more, as well as beeing more tolerating and less agressive, this appears like very good qualities for a leader. We can also see that the opposite behavior pattern for men is creating so much trouble, since men have much more of the tendency that the leader thinks that he, and only he knows the best, he will command others, and if they don't follow, he will force them. Unfortunately, the advantage that women have for group leadership positions is taken away, because men often simply obestinately refuse to listen to the women leader. She has to work so much harder than the male leader, to get the men to follow, and even though she does a better job, often the result is less. So my conclusion from this is that unfortunately women leaders might not be such a good idea. Not becuase women are bad leaders, but because men are lousy followers (of women leaders).
