When my Guru Maharaja advised me to gradually withdraw from my astrology

activities (eleven years ago), after being previously asked whether I could

use my astrology experience in the service to the devotees, he said, "There

are so many bad astrologers and so little good artists, therefore better do

your art service." He admited there were perhaps a few who new their job

very well, but those less qualified who engaged themselves in giving advice

to others might have done more bad than good and thus created bad karma for

themselves. And I agree with him. My Guru Maharaja respects Vedic astrology

as the highest of the material science, but he seems to share similar point

of view with you that it is "somewhat lost" nowadays.
