The reason is that vedic astrology was not given as much emphasis as you

seem to be giving it.

 

This is because not everything happens the way we think it should

happen--even to great religionists and saints. Here are some examples of

matches that were made where there is either no mention of an astrological

compatibility check, or there obviously was no consultation with an

astrologer:

(2) Draupadi and the Pandavas method: svayamvara

(3) Yayati & Devayani method: providence

There are many more examples of marriages that came about without the aid of

astrological consultation. The bottom line is that whatever happens,

husbands have to do their duties, and wives have to do their
