Why bother is the larger question. What would happen is that as individuals would wake up and smell the dahl, they would be isolated from the still loyal rank and file, and leave one by one. As this group has grown so much larger now then the rank and file, and still have some sentiment for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna, their influence has begun to show in the temples them selves. As for those who stuck it out inside ISKCON, humbly enduring the idiocy in order to serve Krishna, my hat is off to you and your tolerance. I tried everywhere I went and got slapped across the face by a "swami" at one place (NY) and run out of the community by another "swami" (LA). I was going to deck both of them but there were other bhaktas around so I held back. Mostly the leaders of the temples were totally politically motivated towards favoring the "advanced" big guns and would simply squash any attempt by a householder to protect women and children. I left the toxic situation. I was raising my own sons and didn't want them anywhere near them. It's not like the problem has dissappeared now either from what I see. Any renewed attempt at a revolution must include a positive alternative to the existing mismanagement. The only viable alternative, as I see it, is varnasrama-dharma. It is very powerful stuff and one which, if presented to the "followers" intelligently, would easily defeat the present system.
