Certainly politics is often considered dirty business. Seems like there has been centuries of deep rooted ethnic tensions in the region, but it appears certain recent brands of Balkan leadership have inflamed those tensions beyond the realm of socially acceptable behavior. In my book there is a significant difference between launching surgical air strikes meant to target sites of suspected military value and the wholesale persecution of large body of citizens. Yes, everyone is motivated by self-interest, it is often a question of how we pursue our perceived self-interest. I am not so much interested in defending any particular worldly political interest, but a spade is a spade. The whole situation over there is uglier then heck.
