This has happened to me also quite a few times in my devotional life, having a fixed opinion (with very little real understanding), and later revising it when faced with a more thoughtful devotee. Many do have a tendency to be very superficial, especialy in regard to others decisions. Surely as devotees we owe it to each other to be much more compassionate, and understanding. The problem is due to our western conditioning. If only we had started to implement varnasrama colleges, all those years ago, we might then have a much more evolved understanding of ettiquette, and the importance of the trinad api verse.
