There have been others who also think there are too many discussions about things not related to varnasrama on this conferance. But there are different alternatives for sorting that situation out. 1. Continue as we have done until now, and let those who think it is too much start up another conferance. 2. Restrict this conferance to talks directly related to Varnasrama only, and then start up another conferance which allows more or less any discussions. If version 1 goes through, nothing needs to be done by those of us who like it as it is. Then it is up to the rest to make new arrangements. If version 2 goes through, I have a suggestion: I am the organizer of the Social and economical development conferance. We could use that conferance as the one where we can discuss basically anything (very little is happening there at the moment anyway), since I guess more of the things we discuss are related to social and economical development than to varnasrama (at least in certain people's minds). To me, it seems like it is important for many of us to have a conferance where we can bring up things, and just argue back and forth. I personally appreciate it a lot, even if we don't always see that we are heading towards a new preaching project or something. Personally, I would go for version 1, but I am open for version 2.
